Kendrick School’s Published Admission Number (PAN) for Year 7 in September 2027 is 128. Admission is based on two tests, each lasting about an hour, with a short break in between. The tests cover English, Maths, Non-Verbal, and Verbal Reasoning.
There is no shared test between Reading School and Kendrick School. Passing one test confers no eligibility for the other. Both schools are highly competitive and oversubscribed. Meeting the qualifying standard in either exam does not guarantee an offer; places are allocated by each school’s oversubscription criteria once scores have been standardised.

11 Plus Verbal Reasoning
Kendrick School includes Verbal Reasoning in its GL Assessment papers, with a section on Verbal Reasoning alongside English in the first paper. Reading School does not test Verbal Reasoning separately. In our Verbal Reasoning sessions, students build logical thinking and learn to spot language patterns through guided practice with analogies, letter sequences, code-breaking, word relationships, and logic questions. Timed exercises and regular practice papers help students feel more confident during real exams.
11 Plus Non-Verbal Reasoning
Kendrick School also tests Non-Verbal Reasoning as part of its GL Assessment papers. The second paper covers spatial and diagrammatic reasoning, as well as Maths. Reading School does not test Non-Verbal Reasoning separately. In our lessons, students learn to interpret shapes, find hidden rules, understand spatial relationships, and solve visual sequences.
